Replacement Windows and 2023 Tax Incentives – What you need to know about it!
Did you know that inefficient windows and doors can account for nearly 25-30% of energy loss in an average home? In a state like Wisconsin, with a colder climate, this average percentage could be even greater. Which is why there is a tax credit for purchasing windows and doors to improve the energy efficiency of your home in the Inflation Reduction Act.
The Inflation Reduction Act gives Wisconsin homeowners up to $200 annually for replacement windows and skylights and up to $250 for exterior doors with a maximum of $500. What you should know about these replacement window and door tax credits is that they apply against your taxes due which is favorable over a tax deduction.
Note: The replacement windows and doors must be ENERGY STAR rated, which mean replacement windows and doors from AHT Wisconsin Windows would qualify for the tax credit. Since our windows and doors qualify, we can help get you started on receiving the tax credit.
More Notes….: This incentive is not right for every homeowner. One of our representatives will discuss the options best for you during your in-home estimate appointment. To book an appointment with an AHT Wisconsin Windows representative, call 888-874-9339.
